Questions That Matter
Introducing TrustBridge's weekly series on regulatory state capacity, government contracting and dispute resolution
TrustBridge seeks to improve India’s business environment by improving the rule of law.
We are excited to announce the launch of Questions That Matter, a new weekly series by the TrustBridge Rule of Law Foundation, where we delve deeper into our work on regulatory state capacity, and government contracting and dispute resolution.
We explore topics such as the accountability and effectiveness of regulatory authorities in financial markets and in the electricity sector, challenges in policy implementation, and the use of emerging technologies for regulatory analysis. Each episode is backed by in-depth research and analysis, with links to relevant material in the video descriptions.
In Episode 1, Natasha Aggarwal and Bhavin Patel discuss their working paper titled ‘Bypassing expert tribunals through writs: Judicial overreach in review of the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission’s orders.’ They explore key findings from their dataset and the broader implications for judicial review in India.
